An Athlete
Who Gets It
Dr. Karp has played sports his entire life. In high school he played basketball and soccer and enjoyed the different challenges of each sport. In college he played basketball for one year and started coaching youth basketball at a local YMCA.
As an adult, Dr. Karp actively runs, swims, and plays basketball. He has experienced the internal and external pressure that comes with being an athlete and competing to win. He draws from years of navigating locker rooms, internal anxiety, and the complex bonds that form within teams.
Sports has helped Dr. Karp in every aspect of his life. He wants to help young athletes achieve their goals in the present and have the internal skills to allow them to participate in sports for the rest of their lives.
